Gruppo Danza Oggi (GDO) is a non-profit cultural association, founded in 1978 by the choreographer Patrizia Salvatori, who still today as artistic & managing director, directs its choices, cultural lines and objectives.

GDO was born with the aim of spreading culture through high quality international organization and production projects in the field of Live Entertainment with a particular focus on dance in all its possible forms.

Through activities that directly involve the public, training and nourishing it with beauty, GDO promotes and disseminates the Live Show with the production and distribution of dance performances, research and experimentation, the formation of new creativity, seminar activities and laboratory, planning and realization of cultural events, with particular attention to the social impact.

GDO is today a production structure characterized by business stability and operational quality, good practices, transparency and management efficiency, with a qualified and professional staff, which collaborates with public and private bodies.

Since 1978 it has created at least 50 shows and events every year in Italy and abroad (Europe, United States, Russia, Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Finland, Hungary, China, etc.) that the public appreciates and applauds the high performative quality.

Since 1998, GDO has dedicated itself to the production of new choreographers and to the support of creativity under 35, giving a new guise of ‘dance factory’ to its business: since 2014 it has produced the gestural and choreographic contamination project E.sperimenti Dance Company and since 2022 supports and promotes both the GDO/UDA Company, a “challenge” project of great artistic and cultural resonance, and the individual artists who share the poetics and vision of GDO with their art.

Since 2013, GDO has moved its headquarters to the Marche region, where it is the only recognized Dance Production Structure, and promotes the Urban Dance Festival with a three-year protocol for the Municipality of Corinaldo, which animates the Borgo in its squares and streets, the Teatro Goldoni and the whole territory with Italian and European contemporary dance, also organizing artistic residencies.

GDO is always open to new collaborations and proposals that put places, structures, artists, good practices on the net.

GDO operates with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Marche Region and the Municipality of Corinaldo, where it is in artistic residence.

It is part of Federculture, Consorzio Marche Spettacolo, Con.Me Network, Ri.De Network. and is CID Unesco member.
